Hi everyone, last June I was subjected to conversion therapy in Syria and I asked for help through a Gofundme. You were all generous enough to donate 10k which I used to pay for immigration lawyers, flights, and to survive until I was in a safe country.

Finally, after 16 months, my application for residency in Canada has been approved and I am very happy to say that I made it to Toronto today! I am incredibly grateful and privileged to be able to ask for help and receive it.

There are thousands of people who deserve safety as much as I do and I hope this proves helping a stranger online can change their life completely. I’m really overwhelmed with joy and relief, thank you once again.
