I’m thinking about the beginnings of america as a self-determined America. It’s myth of fairy tale likeliness...
First, many left their native country escaping religious persecution. They rejected the authority of their Father, the pope. https://twitter.com/peoplesoracle/status/1313262067005239302
Then, men created whiteness so that they could recreate the power dynamics they learn in their Fatherland. They subjugated non-whites just like their Father has subjugated them.
Eventually, the got a new Father in the form of a king. But much like their own forefathers, they refused to be told what to do by some faraway man they had never met anyway.
After they estranged themselves from their Father, they decided they wanted to have a new Father. They got one and liked him so much that they tried to make him their permanent Father just like the old ones.
They settled on getting a new Father every 4-8 years.

One time, they almost considered getting a Mother. But they decided to instead get the Father that would allow them to deal with their daddy issues once and for all.
This Father reminded them of their Father, and their Father‘s Father. Especially the blurred lines between religion and power and governance. The immorality as religiosity. And the way money was tied up into it all.
Now, some gleefully watch as our Father flirts with death. We cheer with every gasp and cough. “We’ll get rid of that Father once and for all!”
Other’s cheer Father on as he assures his children that he’s their savior superhero who is invincible. Their Father will never die!
