(STL PROGRESSIVES!!!) Aldermen we *Must* primary in 2021. Lets puts some folks on notice, they've earned it. [A thread]
Ward 5 (North of DT) , Alderwoman Tammika Hubbard. Part of the corrupt political family that tried to steal an election from Bruce Franks. Opposed closing the workhouse, Supported airport privatization. Supported unconstitutional surveillance bill. No on divesting from policing.
Ward 13 (Bevo, Carondelet) Alderwoman Beth Murphy. This women is one of the worse when it comes to handing tax credits to developers. She opposed closing the workhouse, supported airport privatization. Stands with SLPOA and opposes divesting from policing.
Ward 7 (DWT, Riverfront) John Coatar. This man can be described as nothing short of a corporate stooge, especially when it comes to tax credits for developers. He supported airport privatization. Iffy on closing the workhouse. No on police reform and divesting from policing.
Ward 17 (Central West End) Alderman Joe Roddy. #1 in developer money. A near proud supporter of gentrification in St. Louis. Supported Airport privatization, Illegal surveillance, and opposed closing the workhouse. Also opposes divesting from policing. Awful but next up is...
Ward 19 (North/ Central City) Alderwoman Marlene Davis. A Lewis Reed lapdog. Supported airport privatization. Opposes divesting from policing and other police reform. Supported horrible curfew laws that ironically would have harmed black children. Opposed closing the workhouse.
Ward 21 (Heart of North City) John Collins-Muhammad. A fervent homophobe, douchebag and misogynist. Opposed closing the workhouse, Was one of the major proponents of airport privatization, opposes divesting from policing. Supported illegal surveillance. Terrible on zoning.
Ward 23 (South Hampton) Alderman Joe Vaccaro (Purposely pictured with Racist Cop union head Jeff Roorda). Vaccaro lambasted north city with racist comments. A cop union stooge, opposed closing workhouse, supported airport privatization, Takes developer money, Horrible on housing.
Last but not least, Ward 27 (Northwest city) Alderwoman Pam Boyd. She opposed closing the workhouse, supported airport privatization, does not support divesting from the police and belongs to a horrid political family.
If we want a sustainable city that puts people before developers, meets the needs of our most vulnerable by investing in communities, reforms and divests from policing, tackles the housing injustice and follows Kimberly Gardner's lead with a smart on crime approach. 1/2
then simply put, these folks GOT TO GO! Our more progressive prosperous future as a city is on the line in 2021. This is your notice, and their warrant. We're coming for our city government. Ill update on opponents + funding, events etc as we get closer to next year.
