There's a segment of progressive liberals who believe it is illegitimate and offensive for socialists to express their political disagreements with progressives by running against them for office but I've never heard anyone coherently explained why.

I know a handful of people who worked in regional offices of the Warren campaign. Afaict they understood that people to her left were mostly going to support the candidate to her left and that it was Warren's task to out-compete him. Why can't everyone be so adult?

(the flip side of this is that it came off badly when some Sanders supporters got mad about the WFP endorsement. groups should endorse the candidates that most align with their visions)
