let me just start off with saying no one is seriously canceling daichi. people in general throw around the word canceling way too loosely. someone disagreeing with you or smth you do isnt canceling.

you can like a character who is a cop, no one cares. but to downplay cops actions in general and to get mad at people making jokes about it is weird.

first off, making jokes about his job isnt disrespectful to furudate at all. no one is dismissing daichi as a character or downplaying his goals, achievements etc. not agreeing with a job or disliking something in fiction isnt a direct jab at the writer

criticizing a character isnt bashing the character at all. everyone is hiding behind "oh he's a comfort character" to avoid any direct discussions about his JOB when no one is talking about him personality wise. every character is comforting to SOMEONE that doesnt mean

you are unable to point out flaws or things you dont like about them at all.

on top of this, yall are just so ignorant about japan as a whole. because of anime yall see it as some sort of perfect country that can do or has done no wrong, but yet you fail to even look any of this stuff up?

yeah he's fictional but thats just one of the many ways copaganda is spread. shit like brooklyn 99 or balance unlimited just go on to show this. like yeah the characters are cool but at the end of the day theyre still cops and mess with your perspective on police in general--
