The White House Medical Unit is tracing President Trump's contacts, but also starting two before his diagnosis, per CDC recommendations. This effort mainly involves emailing people who went to fundraisers, not the phone calls contact tracers usually make 4/x
And here's the other thing: The White House Medical Unit is doing all this without the help of the @CDCgov which has had a team on standby since Friday. The WH said it has a CDC epidemiologist detailed to it, but wouldn't say who that is 5/x
