On Friday a custodial staff member at the governor's residence tested positive for COVID-19. They, like so many New Mexicans currently fighting this terrible virus, are in my thoughts.

Manny and I were tested on Friday and thankfully both tested negative for the virus.
Given that an individual may become infectious later in the quarantine period, I will receive another test on Wednesday.

We've all seen how quickly COVID-19 can spread, not least in the high-profile example this week provided by the White House.
While I did not personally come into contact with the positive staff member, out of an abundance of caution, I am currently quarantining for the full 14-day period from the date of possible exposure, per @NMDOH guidelines.
Although we have had good fortune so far in this case, I am not willing to risk the health or safety of my staff or any New Mexican, and therefore I will continue to quarantine until such time as it can be determined with 100 percent certainty that I am not carrying the virus.
This should serve to demonstrate to New Mexicans that we are all susceptible to a possible exposure to COVID-19.

Every one of us should continue to minimize person-to-person interactions to the greatest extent possible in order to protect ourselves and those around us.
