Need advice: Someone that works for me is constantly breaking the rules & policies, endangering others, bullying & harassing people, eats all of the “community” snacks I bring in but never pitches in for them, & has hired several unqualified friends. I should fire him, right?

He’s been working for me for 4 years. Less than half of the company thinks he’s the greatest & more than half hate him. He’s always interrupting. On social media instead of doing his work. He’s not great at his job by any means—he’s destroyed almost every project he’s worked on.

Even though he never has good results, he takes credit for the guy in his role before him and brags about the awesome job he’s doing. We did try to fire him once & he ended up getting a second chance. He didn’t improve. I think it’s time for him to go, right?

Just today he took a sick day and because he’s lied so much, nobody’s sure whether to believe him or not!
