Here's a brief behind-the-scenes thread for ep3 of #GHOSTS, aka the one where I always cry at the end. First up, the hi-tech way we filmed @Lazbotron’s spinning head in the volleyball scene. Barney from the Art Dept on chair-swivelling duties #bbcGhosts 1/5
2/ We didn’t want to make @SimonFarnaby make the three hour round trip to the location just to see his hands for five minutes, so @Lazbotron’s head is actually being held by Rich from the lighting team #bbcGhosts
3/ It rained so often in the week we were filming this garden-based episode that some scenes were filmed with the actors standing in the mud under massive umbrellas. These are the marks to show the actors where to stand #bbcGhosts
4/ Our budget doesn’t stretch to explosions, so we were going to have the explosion happen offscreen unless we could come up with a quick way of doing it that cost £0. This was my proof-of-concept, involving a random guy in my local park. Sorry random guy #bbcGhosts
