Just a story, no reason:

I remember the first time I was prescribed steroids for a bad illness I had. I was 19. For a week, I felt superheroic, like I could lift a car. With permanent adrenalin, all of my problems were gone.

A week later I had the first panic attack of my life.
It is not the euphoria of steroids that's the bad part. That's the great part. Life is like the three minutes after the tornado in the Wizard of Oz, in perpetuity. Wonderful, colorful again, eerie, a bit off.

It's the crash that some get, the dysphoria, that's the scary part.
