muslims have every right to get upset over the rihanna issue & i hope this thread explains why:

remixing an islamic hadith into a song and danced to by models in lingerie is extremely wrong, especially when muslims read the Quran with utmost respect

1. before reading, one has to make sure they are clean before they can touch and handle the Quran!

2. before reading, we also have to seek protection in Allah by reciting ta’awwudh

3. while reading, we have to recite the verses slowly. this is so we can better understand and comprehend the teachings in the Quran.

4. accurate pronunciation is very important! a wrong pronunciation can result in a change of meaning.

5. we have to recite the verses in a beautiful tone, this is so we can cherish the Quran

6. it is advised to read the Quran while being isolated so that there are no distractions which may cause you to pronounce your words wrong.

7. the Quran must be handled with a lot of care. hold it with respect and affection and ensure that is not placed in a dirty place. it is to be placed at an elevated level in both the seating level and the heart of the muslim.

the Quran is a very sacred book to us, so remixing the hadith over a beat and getting models dance to it is not ok.

i hope this thread better explains why muslims are so mad over our hadith being used disrespectfully. hadith are sacred words of the prophet & are from the Quran. rihanna and her team should’ve checked before using it.
