debunking demigenders and genderfluidity, a educational thread.
(+ sources, links)
first off, what does demigender even mean? by its definition demigender means that someone is half a binary gender (either girl or boy in this term) and the other half is nonbinary. (1/8)
this concept is based off the misconception that gender identity is a spectrum and a fluctuating connection in the brain, or often also build off of gender identity being misinformated as a social construct. (2/8)
in definition it says that demigender also doesn't always have to be a 50/50 identification with a binary and nonbinary identity.
another common identity with demigenders is the nonbinary man/male and the nonbinary woman/female. (3/8)
coming to the quite problematic aspect of this gender identity.
demigender goes against the science that proves transgenderism to be real.
demigender (by its named definition) goes by a common misinformation that gender identity (4/8)
is a fluid thing.
gender identity is based in the brain and not able to fluctuate in between multiple gender identities, such as male/man or female/woman and nonbinary.
gender identity is 100% based on neuroscientific convolutions in the brain and other structures (5/8)
and connections in the brain. it's been scientifically proven that the human brain-structure is incapable of changing and fluctuating in a way that causes a fluid gender identity, which therefore means that gender identities that both are binary and nonbinary at the (6/8)
same time are humanly and scientifically impossible.
those identities include overall demigenders, that again means demiboy, demigirl, nonbinary male/man, nonbinary female/woman, etc. are all made up identities that (7/8)
go against the science that proves transgenderism to be real, which therefore would be transphobic.

another point of this thread would be that genderfluidity and other fluid gender identities are not teal, nor possible.
