Had the pleasure of talking to TradingView& #39;s Growth director @macrodesiac_

He& #39;s casually built a 6 (borderline 7 figure) business over the last 2 years on the side...

How did he pull it off?

Here& #39;s a thread detailing the lessons I learned from him.
1/

Starting a business is about opportunity costs.

Why do you spend time on one thing and not the other?

How do you make sure that you’re optimizing your time so that you make the most money/get the most pleasure out of it?

Always keep opportunity cost in mind
2/

You don’t have to understand everything at once.

Don& #39;t be afraid to dive into the unknown, just manage your risk.
3/

As a young person, you should really be pushing yourself to make the most of your time as long as your responsibilities are limited.

You have more time, more energy and more risk tolerance.
4/

Don’t be scared to delegate tasks and get help from others.

Reinvest profits into people who can help you grow the business so you can free up your time to spend it more efficiently on other parts of the business.
5/

Most traders do themselves a disservice by only looking at technicals and basing their decisions on visual cues.

Technical systems decay faster than fundamental ones.
6/

When you start out, use a mechanical trading system.

As you gain more experience, discretion allows you to consciously/sub-consciously recognize situations you’ve been in in the past allowing you to quickly make a decision.
