Ok.... so you fell for the bait. Great! 🥳Let’s contextualize

From what I’m seeing the original controversy was that the music samples a Hadith. The Hadith in question was about the world coming to an end and judgement day. So isn’t it quite fascinating that... https://twitter.com/trendsettersel/status/1313138475823226885
A lingerie show featuring drag queens, women, non-binaries, and transgender individuals voguing and feeling confident in their sexuality to that alleged Hadith a more powerful statement than you all realize?
Especially because in just the lingerie business alone a reckoning happened at the hands of Victoria Secret who discriminated against those same individuals.
Also another point to the alleged Hadith in question... Isn’t it quite timely during a pandemic that alleged sample would be used? Are we not having many wars going on right now? Some of which are religious ones being argued in the Supreme Court right NOW?!!!
Like..... I will continue this thread but do you see where I’m going? These fake woke politics are ignoring the commentary of art and it’s annoying me and my homegirls and boys who examine this shit for a living
So I’m not buying the sacrilegious arguments because of you can sit on Twitter and curse out stans and argue all day, then you should also be capable of processing deeper context to what the artist is trying to say and therefore process why is it upsetting.
