My friend @thisiskp_ has landed his dream job at @beondeck by building in public.

I'm so thrilled for KP & lucky to count him as a friend.

He has inspired many builders & makers with his work.

Here's a thread on what I've learned from KP & a collection of his best threads 👇
1/ Before I dive in, let me first preface this with:

Beyond being profilic and generous with his sharing, @thisiskp_ is also a champion for the underdog.

He took a chance on me a few months ago when I had 30+ followers on Twitter and has been a large part of my growth.
2/ How to build an audience

KP always shares how he built his audience and gives actionable tips in his threads https://twitter.com/thisiskp_/status/1303315459329208321?s=20
3/ Maintains open DMs & is available to connect with other

KP's always available to chat or give advice.

His "give first" mentality and heart of gold wins him the support of his audience

I mean, look at the likes and comments here. Says a ton. https://twitter.com/beondeck/status/1312221609336467456?s=20
4/ Provides a platform to amplify the voice of others

KP RTs other people's work to amplify voices and provide leverage to people who don't have big audiences

Secret: This was our ploy to discover newsletters to subscribe to for http://Letterdrop.io  https://twitter.com/thisiskp_/status/1289968323954966530?s=20
5/ Ship fast, don't worry about perfection

KP manages to get MVPs out quickly.

Sure, they might be a little buggy, but getting them out in the public or in early beta helps him get feedback on how to improve.

It's way more effective than hammering away on his own.
6/ Shares beginner-friendly guides

As a no code whiz, he writes for others who are just starting out and even lets them know how advanced each tool is. https://twitter.com/thisiskp_/status/1232808590475452416?s=20
