Feminism per se isn't a bad notion. Misandry is at times misconstrued as Feminism. Feminists may not have started off disliking men. Plotting to overtake men in corporate boardrooms or in political battlefields is probably a confused accusation on ambitious women.
Think about women in assembly line factories with wrenches in hands, operating heavy machinery in greasy overalls. Copywriters or sub-editors in ad agencies or news rooms. They had to expend equal amount of physical energy or brain power. But wages weren't satisfactory.
They had to pay up utility bills, run a household. Most working women, in most countries were either single due to unwell elders or too many younger siblings.
They fought for their own rights in place of employment.
This has taken an ugly turn due to liberal, pseudo-intellectual women with their political guardian angels who are giving Feminism a bad name.
