The PS5 is legitimately enormous.

Remember: DualSense is larger than DualShock 4. Thus, just compare the size of the console to the controller in this picture of a Japanese YouTuber (and to the man himself).

You're gonna need a fucking airplane hangar to house this thing. LOL.

I dunno... maybe I'll feel differently about how PS5 looks when I get mine... and I honestly don't ultimately care at all about a console's aesthetic.

But my impression has always been that this thing is hideous, and such a step backwards from the PS4's really beautiful design.

PS2 and PS4 are absolute masterclasses of industrial design. PSone is a relic of the '90s (top-loading CD player!), but it's fine. PS3 was not great at first; got there in the '09 redesign. PS4 Pro was a logical step.

I don't know how they stumbled upon this look. It ain't good.
