I think after watching the video Justin gets close to some truths but ultimately loses the plot it is true that God doesn’t simply just exist the things that escapes him is that this doesn’t make God less real than us it makes him more real God is more real than we are and that https://twitter.com/jmrphy/status/1312940318661074944
Is also why he is distant from us. This distance which Justin and many others mistake for absence is not because God has abandoned us but because we in our sin have abandoned him and thus it is we who must respond to his calls to draw nearer to him.
This is something that Justin sort of comes to he just uses unorthodox language and inverts it. You are not as I think Justin is saying as close to God as he draws himself to you but are as close to God and you draw yourself to him.
To conclude this thread before it gets too long because I am not the right person for this conversation Justin is acting honestly but is afflicted by the errors of the age and is by his own admission, at least apparently scared of a genuine public profession of faith.
But he does make one point that I think everyone should take to heart not everyone with doubts or errors is a Dawkins tire pseud or pastor Anderson and they shouldn’t necessarily be engaged at an elementary level but instead at the level they are at.
