basically there's this bill that's supposed to help the economy by allowing entrepreneurs to invest easier as well as to make indonesia a competitive country economy-wise.

however this law contradicts the country's fifth principle, "social justice for the entire people of +

+ indonesia" as it severely undermines the rights of labour and workers.

some impacts include the loss of minimum wage and that maternity leave will be given no compensation.

also very fucked bcs this bill was arranged behind closed doors meaning that there was little to no participation of the people which is real funny considering it's a law by the house of representatives/people's representatives

AND it was very rushed. apparently the meeting discussing whether or not the bill will be passed should've been held later on this week but it's moved to today (just a few hours ago and 7/9 fractions approved btw!!! it passed!! )
