Women make up the majority of this profession yet are not given the same opportunities for leadership ensuring the wage gap remains...

BIPOC teachers have to continuously fight to be heard & seen (and supported even by their own union) and too are not represented at all levels...

Teachers who have to stay home because they may have contracted COVID-19 are being told to do so unpaid (yes... school boards are really doing this right now)...

So keep your cupcakes, tweets, pens, and stressballs and actually do something the other 364 days of the year.
