whalien 52. 52 Hz (name) is a whale from an unknown species that calls out in the unusual frequency of 52Hz (this is particularly high for a whale). this whale was proclaimed with the title of “loneliest whale”. they used this analogy to describe feeling of loneliness in society.
no more dream. they’re telling everyone to follow their own dreams rather than fall prey to society’s expectations

2!3!. a song about endurance. they won’t lie and tell you it’s going to be okay, but rather tell you to find strength in those you love. let’s try to pass those difficult times smiling and being together
school of tears. one of bts’ predebut songs that talks about school violence and how the younger generation is being silenced of their struggles by people of authority.
silver spoon. the korean title is “baepsae” or crow tit. the title is an idiom used for someone “trying hard” to achieve something or be better than someone else. bts came from a very small agency and obvi didn’t any priviledge. they had to work harder to get where they are.
lie. it’s about lying to yourself and giving in to the lies of others and losing yourself in the process.
butterfly. it expresses the fear of losing someone by using the features of a butterfly. it’s meant to represent the fact that everything and anyone can be lost at a moment’s notice if you don’t pay attention.
singularity. pretending to be someone else for acceptance and at last, suffering because of it.
epiphany. “im the one i should love” so this is self explanatory. (PLEASE JIN OUTSOLD THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH THIS SONG).

tomorrow. they showed how adolescents have a repetitive cycle and get lost in the crowd to fit in but tomorrow is the day the brings new opportunities, new hopes in those people’s lives.
