Online characterizations of the President (among others) in 2020 for having COVID-19 are not entirely dissimilar from characterizations in the 1980s of people who had AIDS.
It intrigues me the ways that we alter our assessments of behavior and public health based upon politics and self-interest.
If we put one-eighth of the effort expended to slow COVID-19 into trying to stop the spread of STIs, we would have ten times the results.
But we can’t be bothered with that because of the politics and self-interest of sex.
The politics of COVID-19 being different, society treats infection with this disease in a totally dissimilar way, although the circumstances do not warrant that.
