I recognise that this is for charity. And that is brilliant.

But I feel hugely saddened and let down to read this announcement today.

I have been working on this idea and concept since May when I approached Damien and Chris with the suggestion to do this as a concert. (1/6) https://twitter.com/theatre_support/status/1313044569328672768
I then reached out to Jack Maple with the idea in July.

Jack told me it was a “solid idea” but “not something” he could commit to.

Jack is now producing this show. (2/6)
I am upset that I was not considered or invited to help.

I feel let down by a friend who knew I was interested in helping, and supporting this project.

All I wanted was to help bring together the theatre community. (3/6)
At a time when consideration is still not being made by producers when it comes to cast announcements and such.

I simply feel it would have been nice to have received an email back, saying “Hey sorry, we are going ahead with the idea but we don’t need your help”. (4/6)
This is a charity set up to SUPPORT theatre makers, yet I feel left out and completely unsupported.

All I wanted was to help these charities. I am pleased that this concert is going ahead and I will still buy a ticket and support all the artists who will be taking part. (5/6)
I run That Stagey Blog completely for free and make no money from it. All the time and work that I put in to everything I do, is by my donation.

It saddens me that my support is not valued or recognised by some. (6/6)
P.S. The other sad part is that I was still working to make this happen up to last month.

And approaching venues including the Union Theatre.

And liaising with Stacey Pedder from Raw PR.

At no point was I told that the idea was already in motion, without me.
