Genshin Impact feels like it was made to be an open world game with a single playable character in mind but somehow had gacha shoved into it's gullet.
It also feels weird when a character that has been in your party since you started the game act like they never were, Amber.

From what I have played so far is that MC is the BEST character in the game. Hands down.
I rarely use anyone else.
You'll pretty much only keep Amber and Lisa in your group cause Thunder element is REALY GOOD and Amber has range.

Let's talk about MC again.
MC gets WIND at the start of the game, which sounds like a total bummer UNTIL YOU FIND OUT that your E and Q move can ABSORB ELEMENTS and BECOME THAT ELEMENT WHEN CASTING

If you are near an campfire, fire slime, burning weapons and shields, fire mage, BURNING GRASS
Boom. Fire damage.
Near a body of water, water slime, water mage, CLOTHES A LITTLE DAMP?
BOOM. water damage.

It's also great when the E and Q moves are so satisfying to use.
ESPECIALLY E BECAUSE IT COOLS DOWN SO FAST
E can vacuume enemies in to a multi hit attack and ends with an burst

All the cool stuff Genshin Impact does sometimes makes me forget how terrible of an inclusion Paimon is.
She adds nothing.
She's just a devices for the silent Protag to speak with out speaking.
Not unlike what Paper Mario has done for the last 3 games

It also doesnt help that she speaks in the 3rd person all the time.
She works well as a mascot character for the game and I can see her being used for other mechanics in the game; she should've stayed a mascot character, tho
