instagram is THE WORST social media app. a thread

1. instagram hides accounts from people so they don’t see your posts and stories until the trashy algorithm says your account is relevant

2. people barely reply to stories. the ask me a question box never has any relies either

3. the algorithm sees how long you spend scrolling and interacting with others and the longer you spend on the app the better your posts will do

4. the video and audio quality is trash. whatever they use to compress the videos is shit bc sometimes it even make edits off beat

5. when i look at impressions most of the views come from hashtags/explore/other

6. there are SO many people who think that they deserve a follow back so they unfollow when you don’t

7. and what frustrates me SO MUCH is when smaller accounts (less than 10k) post every week and their posts flop. then a big account posts for the first time in months and they get TONS of views
