As @bbc5live asked if the sky was falling in for the PM & my “no” was met with... scepticism:

- he won leadership a short time ago, handsomely

- he delivered 80 seat majority

- not one person puts their name to challenges

- global crisis, not changing leader in it

- polling? Govts dealing w tough times may be unpopular. Thatcher used to say “we aren’t low enough” when acting decisively. Polls that matters- elections.

Understand why media loves the “story” but it’s hot air.

Lest I’m thought toadying I backed Raab not Boris for leader.

PS if asking which point carries most practical weight it’s the crisis one. But if interested in which grinds my gears most it’s the anonymous briefings one.

If you’re going to attack the leader of the party who just delivered a big majority, have the guts to put your name to it
PPS if I’d been allowed to respond to the uncontested assertion that the track and trace system is a “shambles” I’d have said that whilst it’s only anecdotal... I’ve had Covid, was tested with a prompt result and contacted by T&T efficiently and swiftly.
