There's nothing like having a good arc click into place to make me feel really, truly proud of ORGN. Is it weird? Oh my god, it's the weirdest. But it's MY weird. I own that weird. It has that feeling, for me, that the best Rider series have, of familiarity.
I feel like I know all the characters by heart, and I'm starting to figure out how to use them as interlocking pieces to create a more complex narrative. Are there some parts of ORGN that are just straight up irredeemable? Perhaps.
But overall, I feel like I've grown enough as a writer that for these last few arcs, I can REALLY hit it out of the park and send my first major writing endeavor off with a memorable finish.
And then, in making a (shorter) sequel, I want to take everything I learned writing ORGN in the later parts and apply that knowledge from the beginning. A fully fleshed-out story that knows where it's headed from the get-go, and actual meaning worked into the details of the story
Anyway, the takeaway from this thread is that you should read ORGN solely for the fact that Shayd Pyra exists. He has nothing to do with this arc I'm planning right now, but he's an edgy shitlord and I love him. His presence and meme potential is worth the whole series.
