Zaman 1990an dulu banyak jugak program yg membantu rakyat mencapai upward social mobility ye My family had a PC because there was a subsidy for it, and my mom qualified because she worked with Bank Pertanian (still bawah gomen, belum privatized jadi Agrobank).

If it weren't for that beloved old PC yg banyak berjasa, I wouldn't have had early childhood exposure to computers. I wouldn't have known how much I love computers, and programming was cool and none of us thought it was a boy thing simply because EVERYONE lacked exposure.

When you grew up in Terengganu and practically nobody in your circle at the time was into science or tech, it also means there was nobody to tell you a STEM career is impossible because you're a girl. I guess in that sense I was really lucky.
