For clarity because some people are misunderstanding:
I’m not *literally* saying to not say the names of black men killed by the police. Their names will be said and have been. That’s the point. Their cases will be amplified because they usually are.

That’s the type of police violence we are most familiar with. But when we co-opt a phrase that was created to specifically amplify lesser known instances of harm done to black women by the police, we lose the opportunity to do that well.
