This site is in the geographic center of San Francisco and adjacent to abundant transit. This high opportunity zone has no housing for our poorest residents. @DSA_SF @SFyimby and other housing advocates are demanding we use this land to address our HOUSING CRISIS

But here is the tragedy: This site is in @NormanYeeSF& #39;s district. The gas station owner is a known political donor and has likely known Norman for decades. Norman wants to do his friend a solid. In SF, other supes RARELY vote against stuff in other districts. We have fiefdoms
@RafaelMandelman will you stand for my kid& #39;s future & vote against this lease? @MattHaneySF you say "build housing in EVERY district." Here is your chance. Will you lead? @HillaryRonen @shamannwalton you led in closing Juvenile Hall. Will you demand more from this adjacent plot?
Many supes cite the "legacy gas station" designation. Wind down the 5 remaining years & give him a lease to a new corner store under 5 floors of housing. Because is there any limit to him securing this 25-30 year fossil fuel lease and then selling the biz & lease to @exxonmobil ?
