last night bae and I were walking around our neighborhood and looked down to see a cat trotting alongside us. it had a collar, so we checked and called the number on the tag. no one picked up, but the voicemail message cracked us up:
“sorry we missed your call. if you’re in the greater Harvard Sq area and calling about Remy, rest assured, he knows his way home. but in case he’s been gone for more than a day, we still appreciate you letting us know where you saw him! we rely on reports to make sure he’s okay.”
anyway, I feel like for the rest of my life I’m just gonna occasionally randomly think about that cat. (don’t worry, I’m not going to do this but) I’m halfway tempted to call the number from time to time just to check in on Remy and make sure he’s good. 😂
update: literally as I was typing this thread I heard two people outside our window calling Remy’s name. fellow Harvard Sq denizens who apparently are long acquainted with him. also turns out he even has an Instagram 😂 so I can check in on him & follow his adventures after all!
I can’t believe I’ve lived here 5 years and JUST met Remy. I finally feel connected to my neighborhood, like it has a personality! 😂
