Leftist politics are inaccessible to most people because people on the left make people feel dumb for not knowing something and then make them feel even dumber when they finally do realize because they’ll be like “you’re just now realizing this?”

I’m guilty of it too, it’s a condescension we all have to let go of or else no one is ever gonna listen.

Hi this definitely was lacking in recognizing that most leftist aren’t just people arguing online, especially privileged white people. I don’t want to tone police anyone and actually the fact that marginalized communities learn through their lived exp adds to my point!

White leftists on twitter will scream “read theory” till their dying breath when black and brown leftists don’t have to read some old white dude’s theory to understand their own lived experiences. I’m not saying don’t read theory I’m saying someone isn’t less of a leftist if not.

I’m not even talking about liberals and right wingers, I’m saying stop shitting on new lefties and gettable people on the left, we’re eating each other alive.

Again, this is not to tone police poc and it is a very narrow view of politics online. Sorry that nuance couldn’t happen in 140 characters.
