ATTENTION MY FELLOW IT/REDDIE FANS: I need to hype up a wonderful YouTube video by @je_somerton, who has been doing absolutely marvelous critical analyses of media through a queer lens. The end of his most recent video explores Stephen King's It, both-
the book and movie versions, specifically looking into how Eddie and Richie are coded as queer, the effect of the portrayal of Don and Adrian, and what this representation both achieves and fails to. The entire video is a delight to watch, so I would suggest not skipping through,
but if you really must, the relevant part starts at 1:11:56. Then after you're done watching that, go back and watch the rest and explore the rest of his catalog. This is the kind of critic that deserves your time and attention, whether you agree with all his assessments or not!
(Also, if you enjoyed, please RT this thread so this video keeps getting the attention it should!)
