AOC voted against making antisemitism considered “discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin” in an amendment to the Equity and Inclusion Enforcement Act. Antisemitism is not discrimination on the basis of religion, it is on the basis of ethnicity. 2/

AOC recently found out she may have some Sephardi ancestry, and wields this to gain ethos when discussing the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, of which her views are extremely superficial and ahistorical. A fantastic thread on why this is antisemitic:

She pulled out of a memorial event for former Israeli PM Yitzak Rabin, who was assassinated by a right-wing extremist for fighting for the creation of a Palestinian state alongside Israel and an end to occupation, after receiving backlash from antisemites on Twitter. 4/

If Yitzak Rabin does not pass the progressive purity test for Zionists, none of us do—but that is the point. Following this event, the NY Board of Rabbis asked to meet with AOC. She declined. Yet she has previously made time to meet with the extremist group Neturei Karta. 5/

Neturei Karta is a group of antizionist Jews who believe that Jewish self-determination must come only as the result of the coming of the messiah and establishment of Israel by G-d, are openly Holocaust deniers, and believe that only ultra Orthodox Jews are real Jews. 6/

AOC defended Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib after they were banned from entering Israel due to Israeli law barring entry for "those who reject our right to exist in the world." She called this ban on entry “discriminatory,” yet she fails to recognize that their support for... 7/

the Boycott, Divest, and Sanction movement is discriminatory towards Israel and Jews, and is hilariously hypocritical coming from the same person who voted against an amendment to formally recognize discrimination against us as equal. 8/
