In her first term in Congress, Tulsi Gabbard was a star in the Democratic Party.

Since then, there has been an unrelenting flow of attacks on her character & associations.

What changed?
The catalyst seems to have been a moment in 2015, when Tulsi questioned DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, for limiting the debate schedule. In response, DNC staff signaled to Tulsi that she was unwelcome at the debates.
The hostility escalated in 2016 when Tulsi endorsed Bernie over Hillary for President, activating the same retributive forces at the DNC that pursued her after she questioned Wasserman Schultz.
In 2017, Tulsi's antagonists used her position on Syria to claim she was delusional, refer to her as a disgrace, & call for her to be "primaried."

This despite the fact that her principled views had been formed & explained years earlier.
Media figures such as the Washington Post's Josh Rogin also jumped in, assigning malign motives to Tulsi.
In 2018 Tulsi continued to work on her policies & message, cosponsoring her No More Presidential Wars legislation, calling out President Trump on Saudi Arabia, promoting her Off Fossil Fuels Act, & welcoming new progressives to Congress.

Perhaps the DNC's war on Tulsi had ended?
Then in Jan 2019 Tulsi declared her candidacy for President. At once, high level Dems & media figures pounced with gonzo attacks, morally associating her with the KKK, treason & a host of leaders with whom she engaged in diplomacy.

However, Tulsi remained focused on her mission.
The attacks on Tulsi continued throughout 2019, with raging accusations & predictions from DNC figures & opinion makers that Tulsi was preparing to run 3rd party, join the GOP, or was positioning herself to be a Fox News host.
This culminated in Hillary Clinton's not-so veiled comments describing Tulsi as a traitor to her party, her country & her fellow service members.

Like Hillary's failure to retract or apologize for her spiteful words, Tulsi's response lives on ....
It's 2020. The DNC still targets Tulsi for daring to dissent.

By changing the rules to keep her from debates, & upending tradition to deny her a convention speaking role despite earning delegates, the DNC signals a fondness for Wasserman Shultz era tactics.
From the day Tulsi challenged the DNC in 2015, Dems have reverse-engineered a series of attacks meant to estrange her from voters.

But Tulsi continues, undeterred & undaunted, her message consistent: protection for our planet, diplomacy before force, a voice for the voiceless.đŸŒș
