A song by song album review of ASTROWORLD and why I believe it is Travis Scott’s best album; A thread

This album has a perfect intro track with Stargazing, it’s a song that sets up the energy for the rest of the album, a banger but nonetheless has that psychedelic energy that is present throughout the whole album. Not to mention that the production is other worldly.

After stargazing you have carousel, which has a feature from frank ocean, which already cements it as an amazing song, but that aside this track yet again has amazing production and is overall another great song.

Next up comes SICKO MODE and regardless of how overplayed it is, this song is a fucking banger and we all know it, You can’t listen to this song and not be hype, it’s impossible. Drakes feature is great and the production again, is perfection

R.I.P Screw is the first song that is more psychedelic than it is a banger, and my god does it do a good job at what it’s trying to accomplish. This one is one of my personal favorites, everytime I hear this I feel like I’m floating, other songs also have this feel on the album

stop trying to be god is a masterpiece and what I believe to be the best song on that album. This song is up there with 90210. It’s the perfect track, it fits the whole vibe of the album really well and some of the best production I’ve ever listened to. ever.

No bystanders is a banger, a song with a great beat, great vocals from juice, and a super catchy chorus that you can get hype to with your friends, not to mention travis goes in on his first verse.

Skeletons is another one of those songs on this album that’ll just make you disconnect from everything going on around you, and I mean that in the best way possible. The best possible execution of this type of song, it knows what it wants to be and it nails it on the head

Wake up is a simple song, but it’s great. It feels more like a Weeknd song than a travis song but nonetheless it’s amazing. Half way throughout the song there’s a 20 sec bit where the beat changes and it’s an amazing experience

5% tint is by far the worse song on the album for me, but it still isn’t bad. It’s just a decent song that you can play in the car or something. Casual

Nc-17 is a great hype song, beat is amazing, lyrics are simple, and a really good 21 savage feature. 21 makes the song here imo

Astrothunder... what else do I have to say about this song? One of the best produced songs I’ve ever listened to, If not then it’s THE BEST. Again it’s one of those songs where you just feel as if your disconnecting from reality, 10/10 song easily

Yosemite is another great song, one of the more chill songs on the album but it still fits the vibe for the album, it still has elements of the signature travis sound that makes you feel like your floating but with a unique twist, overall a great song

Can’t say was the worlds first time hearing Don Tolliver and he did more than deliver under pressure, he makes this song. This song is so good it single handily gave don tolliver’s career a big push forward. All around this song is a pretty good banger.

Who? What! Is an underrated song on this album, it has amazing production and like most songs on this album it makes you feel like your floating. The features are good too.

Butterfly Effect was a single before this album was dropped but it still fits perfectly on this album, the production is other worldly and the chorus is very memorable and great to sing along to at a party or anywhere it’s being played

HOUSTONFORNICATION is a BANGERRRR, this song goes unbelievably hard anywhere at anytime. Probably the best hype song on the album, I love every second of this song. As per the production is other worldly.

Coffee bean I would say is the only song that doesn’t really fit on this album, but it is still a good song standing alone. It shows the versatility of travis and that he doesn’t always need to be going crazy on a track, I love this song but it would of been better as a single

Overall this album is a masterpiece, and is so well put together, where rodeo (which I still think is phenomenal) is a lot more hit or miss but when it’s a hit it’s a HIT, ASTROWORLD doesn’t have higher points than rodeo, but it is way more consistent in my eyes.

This all being said, I don’t think Travis has had a bad project yet, he is one of my favorite artist because of his unique sound that no one can seem to come close to.
