It’s such a disadvantage to grow up in a violent/explosive household because as an adult it’s difficult to deal with your anger without wanting to fight
I feel like this isn’t talked about enough. For the longest time, fighting was the only way I knew how to process anger/rage. And if I couldn’t get my hands on the person, I’d just stew in my anger for a veryyyy long time
Then the anger would be suppressed for years because I genuinely didn’t have the tools to process it and release it in a healthy way. And the minute someone threatens me, it all comes rushing to the surface ready to be released on that person. Dangerous.
If you can relate, I highly recommend anger management class. It’ll give you the tools on how to process anger in a healthy way that you never received growing up
Suppressed anger will either

1) ruin your body (because it’s trapped in your body and breaking down your health) or

2) result in you catching a charge because somebody tried you on the wrong day and you unleash it all on them. Neither are ideal.
