There’s also nothing wrong with surrounding yourself with people who are like you! If you’re Black and feel most comfortable being around other Black gays there’s nothing wrong with that, it’s how you grew up & it’s what you’re used to

I know pride month is heavily white washed & I understand how annoying that is you deserve to be appreciated all month long and all 365 days of the year

It’s okay if you don’t “look gay”. You don’t need to change anything about yourself to fit in in fear your gay card would be revoked. Wear whatever you want, have your hair however you want, and listen to whatever music you want.

Queerness does not equal White gays and you deserve to be recognized in this community EVERYWHERE, whether it’s the media or social media or in person

You deserve your trauma taken seriously. You deserve your hurt taken seriously. Not “oof, sorry queen/king/dude”
