The thing that I find disingenuous about "echo chamber" rhetoric is that it is almost always "you owe conservatives your time and attention." Like we can't possibly disagree with or learn from other progressives with different ideologies.

The notion that the only people who could possibly intellectually challenge me are those to my right is laughable. The perspectives I actually need to seek out are those of folks with less power than me, not more. Those are the folks whose perspectives I won't otherwise hear.

I assure you I do not need to log onto twitter dot com to hear what conservatives think about the issues of the day. Their perspectives aren't the ones that are routinely silenced and excluded from public discussion.
