We might not agree with @BernieSanders' beliefs on harm reduction, but he's changed the political landscape forever thanks to us and our belief in him. He basically ruined the establishment's plans to raise an entirely new generation of corporate brainwashed sheeple. 1/

Before Bernie became a phenomenon, Obama was supposed to represent the leftmost point of the Overton Window in the US. And it worked. Even through his war crimes, austerity and authoritarianism, most of the population (young and old) still thought of him as a great president. 2/

Trump would have emphasized this even more, with his being completely mask-off about his horrible beliefs and policies. While Bernie started to rise in 2016, many ppl were still blinded by Obama and unsure of what would come next. 3/

However, Trump's horrific presidency didn't make people long for another Obama, as seen with how we rejected his clones like Kamala, Pete and JKIII. Instead they were desperate to turn to someone who would ACTUALLY solve the problems that Trump brought to the forefront. 4/

So many of us believed in Bernie for president, and thought that his massive popularity and Trump's unpopularity would propel him into the Oval Office. For those of us who were still fooled by Obama, we thought that Bernie was someone who he could get on board with. 5/

But that was far from the truth. Obama valued the System and Empire over actual democracy. He showed his true colors as he and his corporate Dem allies shanked Bernie and bumped him out of the race. 6/

Overall, it was a pyrrhic victory for the Dem establishment: they got to save the System from being disrupted by a popular democratic socialist, but at the cost of letting the mask slip and revealing the true nature of the duopoly to so many people. 7/

The establishment would love nothing more than to dumb us all down again and take us back to the point where we see Kamala and Pelosi as "progressive". But they can't. They're making repeated, futile attempts to fool us again. 8/

I don't think there's a way to put people back to sleep on such a massive scale. It didn't work when they tried to marginalize Bernie, and it won't work now as they try to turn leftists into a fringe minority like they were back in the day. 9/

So many people have nothing to lose and will fight to the death to help create a better world free of authoritarian tyranny. Nothing they do can make us stan for that authoritarian tyranny once again. 10/10
