Even then part of him wanted to turn back and beg Bakugou to take him back. And try to make him fall in love with him for real. But it was nothing but a silly fantasy. They was never meant to be.

He used him and tricked him into doing whatever he wanted. What Bakugou did to Todoroki was terrible. He understood this and yet... yet his heart still yearned and pleaded for him. He still wanted to be held by him even if it is all just act

When he got back home Midoriya was waiting for him on the couch. He quickly stood up the moment he heard Todoroki come in

“How’d it go?” He asks cautiously

“...I miss him”

Without saying much else Midoriya is pulling Todoroki into the warmest hug

“ I know it hurts now, but you’ll be ok”

Despite still wanting to go back, he still felt relieved. There’s a sense of ease within him. He tired to focus on those feelings instead

Because like Midoriya said, he will get over it. Pain comes and goes.

Maybe in another life he and Bakugou were meant to be... but not this one and Todoroki had to accept that.
