Given where we are now-- Day 3 of @realDonaldTrump in the hospital, infected with COVID-19-- it's worth a look back at the timeline of what happened with Herman Cain.

June 20th: attends Trump rally in Tulsa. No mask.
June 25th: no more lockdowns
June 26th: Biden wants a mask mandate. Cain disagrees.
June 29th: Cain celebrates Mike Pence refusing to say that "Black Lives Matter."
June 29th: The news on COVID is "better than what you're being told."
July 2nd: Cain tests positive for COVID-19.
July 5th: making progress.
July 7th: wants to get back in action soon
July 10th: he is improving
July 14th: another tweet about how the news on COVID is "better than what the headlines suggest."

They add the word "maybe" this time.
July 15th: the doctors like the progress he's making
July 16th: rhetorical question about why people don't just choose to wear a mask, "regardless of mandates."
July 17th: "it might still be possible to pull this out of the fire."
July 27th: "He really is getting better, which means it is working."
July 30th: Herman Cain dies of COVID. He will not be mentioned during the RNC a month later.
July 30th: Cain's official twitter retweets this sloppy condolence tweet from @realDonaldTrump, who ends it with the phrase "I just got off..."

66 days later, Trump is in the hospital, infected with COVID-19.
FYI: I didn't like Herman Cain's politics. I think not wearing a mask to Trump's Tulsa rally was crazy irresponsible. But I wish we lived in an America where he was still alive because more people started taking this disease seriously earlier. He should still be ALIVE.
