uh... murder, blood and hunting mention warning?
Hitoshi has watched his father chase after various boyfriends without much success since... Well, he didn't quite remember when it started. Hizashi tried to find someone who would date him as a single father since Hitoshi could remember.
Not that he was in any way neglectful, no.
He just wanted some love, and as much as it was jealousy inducing Hitoshi found himself happy whenever his father would rant about good dates or how handsome one of his new partners was.

But they never were a good enough choice. There was always a problem, or they disappeared+
+once they knew Hitoshi existed.

It was a little disheartening both for Hizashi and him. After all he was the one responsible for his father not finding love.

...

Although some jackasses he scared intentionally.
You see, Hizashi adopted Hitoshi when he was 7 already. His previous family was murdered off and he was the only survivor.

"Wild animals tore them to pieces." they said.

But it wasn't truth.

Hitoshi came from a prestigious monster hunter family. One, that only hunted folks+
+who wouldn't control themselves, but fully accepted those who lived in peace with other folks, and most important humans.
He was mostly convinced no one in his family was a fullblood human at this point though. He had at least one werewolf cousin too...

Hitoshi was stronger+
+than most humans, had better night vision, could call out spirits without much preamble, his eyes reflected light in a weird way...

And he could change his voice however he wanted.
Oh how many weird boyfriends left Hizashi after hearing their side-hoes voices from his house. How many left after hearing their hidden spouses' voice through his phone. So, so many...

Hizashi really had no luck when it comes to men.

But at least he was safe.
There was a bit of an uncomfortable issue with this whole thing for Hitoshi though. Sure, he was keeping Hizashi safe from heartbreak, but he was also painting a red cross on his back by even being near him.

It took him a few years to realize that, after he got adopted but+
+creatures could easily smell him on his father.

Someone with mixed blood, someone not quite human. Someone who also had hunter marks on his body.

His mother used to tell him that it wasn't safe to live with normal humans, that it would be dangerous. But Hitoshi couldn't+
+leave. It would break Hizashi.

And it would break him.

He has grown to love this man and accept him as his father. He would do anything to stay with him.
So maybe occasionally his grades dropped because he was going around at night making sure no violent creatures came to neighbourhood.
So maybe he manipulated Hizashi to change his job twice, to avoid angry supernatural folks.
So maybe he begged and pleaded until he started+
+wearing protective charms and making salt barriers on ever window and door.

Hizashi, bless his heart, took to his son's obsession with mild amusement and forced enthusiasm. And Hitoshi didn't care if his father took his actions as teenage fixation if it meant he was safe.
For all his planning and precautions Hitoshi wasn't quite ready for what happened during one Halloween night.

When his father came home a week beforehand, grinning like crazy and radiating happiness Hitoshi knew what was up. He found a boyfriend. Well good for him.

He took+
+the news with mixed enthusiasm, knowing it will most likely end up the same as the previous 40-something started relationships. But oh well, he had to support Hizashi, as long as his father still bothered to look for that perfect one.

"He's *perfect.* You'll like this one+
+I promise. He's gonna join us for Halloween too, ain't that great?" Hitoshi peeled himself from the news app to send his dad a hopeful but sceptic look. Hizashi deflated. "Oh come on, it *will* be great!"
One week later and Hitoshi didn't even think much about meeting the man. Sure, it was a little weird that he was up for meeting him in just one week (unless Hizashi forgot to mention he has a son but that was unlikely) but otherwise no flags were risen.

For now he was too+
+focused on hanging the paper bats on the ceiling to care too much.

His father was going above and beyond to do cook something 'spooky and tasty' (and if this man as much as breathed wrong in the direction of Hizashi's food Hitoshi was going to *destroy* him) happily humming+
+in the kitchen. A little nervous, that much was clear from the foul notes appearing more often than usual, but still in high spirits. Perfect.

With last bat hung Hitoshi hopped off the ladder and onto the coach to attend to his phone. Say what you want, he needed to relax too.
Hizashi chose this moment to appear in the room again, hovering slightly.

"Remember to be on your best behaviour! You want to leave a good first impression!" he was a little flushed, whether from anticipation or whatever he was cooking.

Hitoshi didn't want to be a dick, but...
"You think it'll last more than a month this time?"

"HEY!!" his father pouted, clearly embarrassed. "I have a good feeling about him, okay? Who knows- mayb you'll get along!" Ah, always the optymist.

"Heh. Sure."

The doorbell rang suddenly, a little early wasn't it-
"That must be him! I'll get the door!" Oh never mind then. "Hitoshi- I'd like you to meet..." The door creaked open, revealing "My new boyfriend!!"

Oh shit.

Oh fuck.

No.

Just... just no.

The man standing in the door made all of Hitoshi's instincts human or otherwise+
+scream DANGER.

He looked like a mafia boss to be honest, technically neat clothes, shit-eating grin and this aura of owning the place. His eyes were unnaturally red, but in a way that suggested it wasn't contacts fault.

And most importantly he was showing off his fangs.
Hitoshi couldn't be sure from that distance, but they didn't appear to be wide and thick, meant to tear the meat apart. No, those were thinner but longer, suction or show-off fangs. So a morph, demon, phantom, lamia or... vampire.
//to be continued in a few minutes since apparently Twitter has a limit.
Pale skin? Check.
Stiffness? Check.
Bright irises? Check.
Non-human mass? We'll see.
Obsession with numbers? Another thing to interrogate
And it didn't seem like the man was about to turn into mist or change his form, so lamia and morph (most probably) weren't the case. Demon was still an option but the vibe was wrong...

"Hello." the creature spoke low and with even more shit-eating grin. So it knew. Great.
"Hi..." Hitoshi only managed to squeeze out a fearful greeting. Shit, he had to pull himself together goddammit-

The man stared him down, eyes subtly scanning him whole. Maybe for sings that would clue him for lineage, maybe for hidden weapons.
"Aizawa, this is my son Hitoshi, I told you about him!" Hizashi started chattering excitedly, completely missing the tension in the room. "Hitoshi, that's Aizawa Shouta! I *really* hope you get along!"

The man looked Hitoshi straight in the eyes, rising his chin a little. As if+
+daring him to call him out. Well...

Hitoshi closed his eyes for a few seconds. He had weapons at ready around the whole house, he would watch the fucker all night. And the fact that he was cocky didn't mean that he was dangerous. Just watch, no suspicion.

...
Or he could use a powerplay right off the bat.

"Come in, nice to meet you," he said, opening his eyes, hopefully successfully pulling on a mask of confidence.

It wouldn't do much since the vampire could just smell his apprehension and fear, but it made him feel better.
Also he was the one who let the creature in, so he would just need to say he was no longer welcome in their house for him to get forcibly removed from it.

And well... He also has a way of scaring the shit out of him so he won't even *attempt* anything.
The man strutted inside the house, nodding his head as if to say 'Likewise.'

Showtime. Hitoshi stood up, throwing his hand forward like a sort of mental anchor, directing his intention towards the man. The words came easily, forged into his memory.
"Absit a te ut motabilem." The man froze, feet basically glued to the ground. Distantly Hitoshi heard his dad making a surprised sound. "Et possidebunt te quando tu est in domo mea. Et moveri non potest. Vos can not utor vestri solers. Vos potest non nocere nobis."
"Etiam. Ego non nocere," Aizawa hissed out, sincerely apparently since he didn't appear hurt. Good.

"Promissum est." he let the energy disperse, no longer binding the vampire to the ground. He nearly fell down, but kept his composure.

"What." Ah, jeez, Hizashi.
"I'm sorry, but you understand I simply *had to.* As you can see I'm a little protective." Hitoshi spoke with light tone, hopefully not angering the vampire more. That was a risky move, but hopefully both him and his dad will be safe now. Nothing is an overkill when it comes+
+to dealing with vampires.

"Yes, I can see how you could be distrustful. But I doubt we'll have any more problems now, will we?" He didn't seem mad thank god.

"No problems at all."

"Can you PLEASE tell me what just happened?" Hizashi was looking between them frantically.
"Uh..." the way both Aizawa and Hitoshi made the same exact sound would be amusing if they weren't in deep shit. Right. Clueless Hizashi. Who's dating a vampire. Who seemed happy to date him.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
"Okay, so... Remember when I tried to convince you supernatural beings exist and you laughed it off?" he started off with a strained smile. "Both me and Aizawa are kinda in that group."

"What." Hizashi had that face of 'you better start telling me the truth right this instant.'
Hitoshi looked at Aizawa helplessly. "Back me up a little." The man had the gall to shrug. "You know I was the one to let you in so I can also remove you right?"

"Fine," the man more sighed than said, before turning to Hizashi with an uneasy grimace. "We just had a little...+
+scuff, where your son made me promise to never hurt either of you. Naturally I did, I never meant any harm, but I understand the distrust. My kind is pretty territorial, it's normal for other creatures to establish themselves as owners or protectors of certain places or peop-"
"Are you in the same sect or something?" Hizashi was clearly panicking, eyes blown wide and uneven stance. Hitoshi hoped he wouldn't faint.

"Dad, no, I'm not in any sect."

"Me neither, I'm simply a vampire."

"A VAMPIRE?"

"Well that could have gone better..." Agh, this was+
+getting out of hand... Well, time to step up his game a little.

"Dad, I- I can easily prove I'm not a fullblood human and never has been." Hizashi looked at him with apprehension, before sending an unnerved glance towards Aizawa.

"Then... *what* are you?"

And isn't *that*+
+a loaded question...

"I... don't know. I just know I'm not fully normal. I come from a hunter family with a tradition of mixing blood to keep up streng-"

"You come from SHINSOU family?" Aizawa cut him off, looking startled. Well...

"Ye-Yeah..?"

"Jesus fuck."

...
"You're not gonna... elaborate on that?"

"I've heard stories but..." the vampire just looks down, fingers forming a respect gesture. "My condolences."

Hitoshi wasn't well versed in universal vampire basic ancient sing language, but he recognized this one. Non-translatable to+
+normal language, meaning a wish of finding peace and longing to meet someone you won't have a chance to meet anymore.

"Thank you." It was nice, having someone who knew how great his family was and how much they did to keep peace.

Hitoshi found himself wishing that the+
+situation got sorted out. He wouldn't have a single problem with Aizawa, he was nearly sure of that.

"Um, well, as I was saying," he went back to addressing his dad, "I had a few creatures in my lineage, and I have some of their features, so..." He clicked his throat a few+
+times, focusing on a voice, that he knew Hizashi would instantly recognize. His father. "Well..." he spoke with the bass, that he hasn't heard in a few years. "I can change my voice for one."

Hizashi covered his mouth in surprise before a sob broke out.
"Dad..." he whispered, voice breaking as it got back to his natural tone, before he crossed the distance between them and hugged him. Hizashi held him like a lifeline, probably lost in the memories of his childhood.

Hitoshi spared a look at Aizawa who was nervously looking+
+around the house, avoiding looking at them. Ah, poor man not expecting the emotions. Hitoshi smirked at him, unable to stop the quiet laugh, whether from how miserable he looked, or because he didn't need to keep the secret anymore, he didn't know.
"Do you feel better?" he asked, when Hizashi finally stopped getting snot on his shirt.

"I- Yeah. Yeah, a lot better. But WOW. Did not expect you to be hiding something like THAT-"

"Yeah, there's, uh, so much you need to know now-" He spared a glance at Aizawa again, who+
+looked like he was trying to inch towards the door. *NOPE.* "-and that makes for some pretty good spooky stories, perfect for Halloween, don't you think? And I'm sure AIZAWA has plenty too." They both turned towards the man, who frankly looked like deer caught in highlights.
"Uh, I'm sure you two have a lot to talk about so I'm just gonna-"

"WE all have a lot to talk about right now if this is all going to work." Hizashi crossed his arms and looked at Aizawa with a smirk. Pff, this was going to be good.

The vampire looked startled though.
"I kinda assumed this was the end. Of us, I mean." Ah, a classic beginner's mistake. Lesson nr 1, Hizashi doesn't give up easily.

"Ah no, no," his dad waved a hand in front of his face as if he was trying to chase away the confusion. "I'm willing to still give you a try. Now+
+come here."

It was so unnaturally funny to see Aizawa sitting on the sofa with so much distrust as if it was gonna come alive and eat him. Poor man...

Hitoshi sprawled out in the armchair, finding himself grinning.
"So..." he began smiling at Aizawa wolfishly, "I can tell you're at least 300, you must have seen some shit."

"Well... I'm a *little* older than that, but I suppose I could tell you something..."

The man gradually relaxed as he told them about atrocities of previous eras+
+and Hitoshi found himself genuinely happy and hopeful. His father would learn, maybe his relationship with the vampire would even work out. The future was looking good, and that was certainly the best Haloween party he had in a while.
//that would be the end of this thread. I had a lot of fun writing it! I love vague lost supernatural Shinsou and vampire Aizawa, idk why exactly this mix but maybe you'll see it again in one thread of another.
