Tomorrow MPs vote on the Covert Human Intelligence Sources (Criminal Conduct) Bill. The proposed law allows police & security services to commit crimes with impunity. There is nothing in the Bill limiting which crimes are covered; so even murder, torture & rape could be permitted

There is no legal oversight required in the Bill, only that the individual officer believed committing the crime was warranted: less than is required to search your house or a phone tap. The proposed law will cover undercover #spycops & MI5 officers + informants (inc: children).

#Spycops who targeted union, anti-racist & political groups incited crimes such as arson & had sexual relationships with female activists they spied on, described as 'state rape' by the women abused. Special Branch provided intelligence to illegal corporate #blacklisting bodies.
