Given the stupidity that was Jacobinghazi, in which Elizabeth Bruenig played a major role, it's quite interesting to compare @Jacobin's record on analyzing our current situation to @sarahkendzior's. (Jacobingazi is when I learned the term "tankie," btw).

Also the first of many times that I saw Bruenig twist someone's words in order to make herself into a victim and call forth her reply guys to enter the fray and valiantly defend her frail white femininity. She is super invested in whiteness -- viz. blurbing Freddie DeBoer's book.

Lord knows I appreciate my reply guys, but they no doubt know that while I enjoy and appreciate their solidarity, I can survive Twitter on my own.

The bizarre attempt on the part of "Twitter Left" to discredit and dismiss any comparison of Trumpism to fascism is, I think, due to this: minimizing the threat of Trumpism allows for their embrace of accelerationism rather than compelling even a temporary alliance with liberals.

Downplaying the genocidal white supremacist aims of Trump allows "Left Twitter" to "both sides" the election and pretend that there is no practical difference between Biden and Trump. They can do that because the celebrities of Left Twitter are white and privileged AF.

So they spend their time dragging "liberals" and sh*tting on the (certainly flawed) Democratic candidate / Democratic Party, fantasizing about some third party that's going to replace The Democracy any time soon. Fortunately, Left Twitter is, like, 37 people. But they're loud AF.
