Lovesick Girls’ MV subtly tells a story about Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa passing away and Jisoo narrates the unfortunate events and eventually k!lls herself in the end — a thread.

Due to the toxicity of their relationship, Jennie’s mental health suffered the consequences and tried to seek professional help but it didn’t work out -

- Her boyfriend brought her flowers to help ease the situation after the session but Jennie went hysterical which then led to their car accident in the parking lot.

Lisa is in an unrequited love — vulnerable as she looked up to him with a longing gaze. In the car scene, the words “for you” were written on the hammer. This represents her stand in love — she carries the relationship and risks it all until there’s nothing left for herself.

Also, the car's license plate says “bad boy” and a wall sign that says “you have to be alone” means her boyfriend had finally left her. Reaching the peak of her loneliness, she decided to end her life by j*mping off the rooftop.

Rosé is in a very in-denial relationship — trying her best to keep it together by keeping their common interests alive, but they never truly worked out.

The depression grew deeper and so she decided to drown herself in the bath tub.

*Notice the painting on the wall — a pink skull; the guitar sign that says “I miss you, I hate you;” and the blood stain on her face.

I think is a dream. Jisoo is broken but at the same time the flower scene expressed her drive with staying positive and moving on. Blue flowers are representation of hope and the beauty of things.

You can also see her holding an hour glass wherein the sand may seem to be falling off but is actually going the opposite way. This represents the desire to turn back. How she wished she ran faster to save all of her friends but it was too late — all of them are now gone.

After Jisoo’s running scene, this is what we see. These are her favorite and most cherished memories with the girls. A trip to memory lane.

After the memory lane scene, we see Jisoo in a pool with bloodshot eyes and a sign that says “NOTHING.” She’s in denial and trying hard to move on but feels nothing without the girls.

Hence, the lyrics go “I’m happy with this pain. You pity me, but I pity you more for pitying me.” She could no longer bear the agony so she drowned herself in the pool.

And in the last scene, we can see how all of them reunite in the afterlife with their favorite pink vintage mustang.
