you are the main character in your story, but not everyone else’s. remember that your worth and character are not determined by the cameos you make in the lives of others. choose each day what your narrative is, and do your best to be the person you often hope to appear as.
there are days you will be the villain despite having the best intentions. there are days you will forget your own plot and get lost in the fan-fiction. you cannot control how others view you, but you can at least make peace with yourself.
what has happened in your past will never change. in a reality where the unknown conjures a lot of anxiety, take solace in what you cannot alter. it’s done. and that’s okay. all you can do is move forward. regrets don’t help. neither does shaming yourself.
you are not for everyone. no matter how hard you try to be the best for people, you will never know their true needs, making your attempts futile. you’re only draining yourself by trying to reach an impossible standard. things end. it’s no one’s “fault.” go where you’re useful.
you are doing the best you can. and if you feel like you aren’t, do better. nobody has lived your life before and no one left you a roadmap. it’s okay to fuck up. in fact, welcome it. you can’t grow or learn without making mistakes, be they big or small.
you’re enough. you’re enough. you’re enough.

you got dumped on a planet and were told to figure out a way to survive. and that’s what you’re doing. nothing else matters. you’re figuring it out.

do no intentional harm and learn from your accidental offenses.
lastly, forgive yourself, please. you are the only person who will ever truly know you. therefore you are the only one capable of offering true empathy and mercy towards yourself. life is already lonely, do not isolate yourself from the one who can love you the way you deserve.
