If I were to present my personal manifesto for the Science I'd like to see, it'd be this one: 1) recognize that papers are not the only units of scientific production/knowledge; 2) redefine research excellence bringing back human values into the conversation: diversity work, >
#mentalhealth support, leadership; 3) redefine failure(s): make it OK to be human, talk about #FailTales, mistakes, rejections, inconclusive results; nurture slower and responsible research >
4) invest in open tools & resources, but especially invest in the communities behind these. This is the only way we can make sure more and more participate into the scientific production and discourse, and that nobody is left behind.
