i see color theory on tl now heres an unnecessary thread of me trying to explain my coloring
okay so like if u want to fool ur eyes just basically slap ur base colors and go crazy with the overlays (in some cases i like to keep it minimal tho)
here are cooler undertones i used and as u can see im not really "there" yet and i was just experimenting with colors
i still use overlays but bc i colored the bases "like that" it just only helps the colors not look unsaturated
okay now here i start to go ham. i especially like the nether painting i did bc the environment i base it on is red so the undertones are red. none of it is really "green" but instead its just a dark yellow. AND THE BROWN ISNT BROWN ITS ORANGE
in always keep in mind on what the general color is like (environment, light, etc) so its much more easier to eye pick colors if its in the same undertone
WTF IS THIS THREAD DID I EVEN EXPLAIN ANYTHING USEFUL???
warm goes on warm / cool go on cool

the green here isnt green
if i were to use actual green it wouldnt look as good as i think it would be

(plus i see green more as a cool color, if i were to eye pick green with a red i always make it lean into yellow then "gray" it a little)
