Wild to think there’s a player out there rn that a lot of people won’t have heard of or aren’t giving a second thought to atm but next summer he’ll be linked to Arsenal & everyone will convince themselves he’s the answer & become incredibly attached to the idea of signing him.

If someone had told you this time last year that the fanbase would be plunged into a pit of despair because Arsenal weren’t signing Houssem Aouar, 90% of us would be googling the name cos we’d never heard of him.

That’s not to say Aouar isn’t a good player who wouldn’t have been very useful to Arsenal (I reckon I’ve seen him play 3 times and I wasn’t really concentrating on him at any point). But transfer fever on Twitter is a funny thing when you take a step back. It is a hysteria.
